I know I look like a young grandpa, but I really had to stay warm in school.

Say cheese!
When you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you!
These words, sung by many legendary singers through time, is an inspirational piece of lyric, which applies greatly to what I'm about to write.
What really is the point of looking beautiful? Why do we pay billions every year on our outer selves?
Well, in my opinion, it's for our own good!
Feeling beautiful doesn't need to be because you are beautiful, and vice versa, but when you're feeling beautiful the whole world shines a little bit brighter! You get better confidence, you get a stronger character and it always shows, sort of glows, when people see that you're happy about yourself.
This is why people want to be beautiful, so they can feel beautiful.
Now, you don't have to change who you are to be beautiful!
In fact, i think that to acknowledge who you are and to show off your most special features is a great way to start! These are the greatest ways for me to make my special features shine brighter:
Take care of yourself
To feel beautiful, it really helps to know that you've done something to improve your beauty! I don't really wear make-up (since I'm a boy), but there's still plenty of things I do to make me feel pretty.
1. Hygiene:
Hygiene is the best way to start! I usually wash my face once before bedtime, and once before school, with plain water, and with aloe vera (to help re-moisten my skin, especially in this cold Swedish weather). Also, whenever acne pops up, I always use something called "Basiron" (which is great, though very drying for the skin).
When in need, cut your finger nails, as soon as there's a small glimpse of dirt under them, to prevent yourself from feeling obliged to hide your nails in shame. I also wash my hands, multiple times a day, to keep the bacteria, and the dirt, away! ;)
2. Clothes:
This is the most important part for me! I always wear clothes that might be a bit too much for school, just to make me feel great! Some great fashion tips are, for example, to follow your own style. That's what it all comes down to, in the end! Try to watch the latest runway trends, and interpret them in your own way! Maybe take a trendy pattern and incorporate it in your everyday clothing! Try to match accordingly, and just adjust it until you feel pleased with it! Inspiration is the key!
3. Time(?):
Some of my classmates have asked me "why do you spend so much time on dressing up for school".
If I'd have to tell you the truth, I think it's worth it. Besides making me feel wonderful, it also gives me that extra boost to get me through the hard school days. But truth is, I really don't spend that much time, as it might seem, to dress up for school.
The trick is to plan ahead. Whenever you have a little extra spare time, like when you're alone on the train, think of possible outfits. A big help to this is to have an organized closet, so that you'll easier remember what you have, and base your outfits around them. This will help a lot on those late mornings!
and last but not least Smile!
You'll always look great if you wear a contagious smile! Making other people smile, just by your presence, is a great source of true beauty.
After words: Remember kids, don't ever let anyone make you feel ugly, especially not yourself! You are a unique and powerful person, and no one can ever be a greater you!
This post was inspired by a Swedish website "Skönhetstips". It's a great site, actually, and it really gave me a lot of beauty tips!
I hope I'll see you once more!

Frida Gustavsson in Mcqueen - lookback
I made this picture a long time ago, when I still was 14.
It's a bit strange to go through your old pictures, and see things you'd forgotten about!
(NOTE: I know the face looks horrible, but it's not really done yet)
How I'm feeling right now:

Experimenting - bubblegum pop
NOTE: first of all I want to apologize for the strange side-ways shot pictures! I had to take them that way, because otherwise my phone would cover up my face, and that's a bit too Magritte for me.
As you can see, the pictures aren't really very flattering, especially since it looks like I've got a beer-gut ( it's because I'm wearing two polo shirts, and the one underneath is larger than the other one, so it kinda bulges).
In this certain part, I wanted to portray a matching, nerdy- inspired look, with feelings of bubblegum and sodas! I also had found some matching things in my closet, that I wanted to combine...
Oh, and FYI, these are the clothes I wore:
2 polo shirts - black from Fred Perry and multi colored from Zara.
Belt - free, from Urban Outfitters (after internship)
Socks - Happy socks, free from Urban Outfitters, and one grey sock
that I don't know where it's from...
Bow tie - H&M
Pens - various places
Chinos - Acne
Varföööör...
Today I had two tests, one homework assignment, and one writing assignment due today.
It was horrible
Yesterday was even more horrible, since I had to study for both tests, do my homework, and finish my writing assignment.
Well, besides that, today wasn't as much of a life-sucking bitch, like it usually is!
To brighten up the day, I wore a brand new bow-tie with a matching outfit! And yes, I also noticed how incredibly super quirky and "pink" that sounded.
I got a lot of compliments, which I love(don't get me wrong, I'm not an attention whore).
I also finally got to watch the latest episode of glee, which was quite good!
Although, next week I have 3 tests coming up and plenty of homework...
And yeah, that's it!
That's exactly what goes on in the amazing super glitter-fied, unicorn blood-drinking life... yup.
ok, heres a bizzare, yet strangely nice, super over-the-top, and really entertaining, video:

H&M and Marni
Well,
apparently H&M is making a collaboration collection with Marni.
Why haven't I heard of this awesome collaboration?
When it comes to H&M collaborations, I'm usually quite skeptic.
These kinds of collections usually means the same thing you'd get from the actual brand, with worse quality (and material), slightly worse design than you'd usually see from the brand (an outcome of the bad material), but still with relatively high prices (more affordable than the actual brand, but still quite expensive).
But still, it's Marni!
I guess I'm most excited about the prints, and the accessories! I love the special Marni prints! And guessing by the pictures, they wont be half bad.
The collection is said to be released on march the 8th, during spring, and will contain pieces with bold, and colorful, tribal feel, African prints inspired patterns for the ladies, with more discreet patterns for the men.
I'm actually a bit sad to hear that men will have a more discreet kinds of clothes.
I am a kind of person who LOVES patterns, and bold things!
I guess I could go Bryanboy, and wear womens clothing? (I've always adored his bravery for doing that)

Santa Claus is coming to Stockholm...
Christmas is on it's way!
A few days ago, I went out to see the newly put out decorations (and to find gifts).
I love "going out on the town" during the holiday season, since the whole city seems to be more beautiful!
Everything is brighter! The trees are filled with lights, the street lights are adorned with lovely decorations, the shop windows are stuffed with exciting Christmas- themed things, and there are Christmas markets all over the town!
I love seeing these lovely details, that people have spent hours to put together!
One of my, as well as others, favorite post- Christmas traditions, is to see the lovely Christmas windows at NK (yes, I write about NK a lot). They're always so witty and fun!
Here are some pictures, that I took with my mediocre camera.
A part of the Christmas window sets at NK. Seems to be a "how Santa prepares for christmas" kind of look.
Here they feed the children's letter into a Santa computer which seems to be making a list...
The Santa Claus made out of wrapping paper is great for... wrapping paper
Once again, a giant octopus Santa Claus, who's creating toys. Note: the tape, that the toys are on, is moving.
Santa Claus chooses between a couple of outfits (in a spinning closet).
Santa is a fairy, who possess magical powers, that can transform the entire room into a joyful Christmas feast, with a table filled with food made out of candy... Yeah, that one I really enjoyed.
You can't really see it on this picture, but Santa is powering this house, by bicycling, probably with the help of a generator, which creates kinetic energy which allows the Christmas tree, and it's surroundings (strangely enough, including the fireplace) to be lit up.
The outside of NK! (note the huge crowd of peopel outside the windows)
My Christmas tree is delicious.
